About this application
ESSI Payroll Email is an official departmental integration used with the ESSI HR & Payroll Management System. It supports authorised payroll staff in sending approved employee salary statements and in recording delivery evidence for those messages.
What the departmental mailbox connection is used for
The application connects to the department-controlled Gmail mailbox only for payroll email operations. Payroll messages are submitted through the configured departmental SMTP service. Read-only IMAP over TLS is used to identify relevant Sent items and authenticated mail-delivery notices so that the system can reconcile whether a salary-statement email was accepted, delayed, delivered, or failed. The mailbox is opened read-only; the system does not move, delete, mark, or otherwise modify Gmail messages.
Data practices
Mailbox access is limited to the minimum read-only access required for delivery reconciliation. Raw Gmail message bodies and attachments are not retained by the application. For full details, read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
